Two Moscow restaurateurs from the list of the most important people of the city opened the project with the Middle-East cuisine at the Badaevskiy brewery. Anna Maslovskaya explains, why we shouldn’t be scared of hookahs there.
Nofar is the restaurant with the Middle East cuisine in general, not only Moroccan. Neither Uilliam nor Arkady have been to Morocco. Moroccan chefs in other countries introduced them this cuisine, according to their words.
In fact, there are not so many Moroccan dishes in the menu. It is rather middle-east direction in general. Tendency of Moscow restaurateurs clearly define concepts of projects does not always lead to the best result.
Chef of Nofar is Moroccan Jew Noam Kohen. Besides, there was a consultant Nofar in the beginning. The restaurant was named in honor of her. There are a lot of vegetarian dishes there. Cream paste from roasted eggplants and paprika (300 rubles) and other starters are so bright that it is better to order more bread. Lots of meat: smoked, baked in oven, grilled and cooked in tajin. Cooling showcase is situated in the first hall near the open kitchen. You may choose the piece of meat you like and it will be immediately prepared.
