Recipe of original baklava from Nofar restaurant.
We advice you to spent Sunday morning cooking tasty eastern desserts, for example, baklava with apples and caramel glaze. Noam Kohen, chef of Nofar restaurant explains, how to cook this traditional dish.
Phyllo dough – 12 shits
Apple – 400 gr
Butter – 200 gr
Honey – 100 gr
Almond flakes – 150 gr
Walnut – 80 gr
Pistachios – 50 gr
Raisins – 100 gr
Water – 50 gr
Sugar – 50 gr
- Peel apples and cut them into small cubes.
- Put 1 layer of phyllo dough in a baking form. Grease it with butter and lay out chopped mixture of nuts. Grease each 10 layers with butter and nuts. Lay out apples and raisins on the 3d layer.
- After then cut baklava into middle triangles and bake at a temperature of 175 degree for 30 minutes.
- Cook syrup. Mix honey, sugar and water. Cook until it will boil. When you serve the dish, pour syrup on the baklava.
